Strange Sign of Spring - Turkey Vultures
Or turkey buzzards. Whatever you like.A small flock has been coming to hang out and dry their wings since the first of the month. A bit earlier than other years I believe. Spring is right around the corner.
I am not sure of the name, either, but from a distance they look like the same black turkeys we saw on the road in the Smokies. They seem to be appearing on a number of blogs this year. It must be a good year for turkeys. ;)
