Busy Week

 The first half of the week was white and cold. 

 We were using up a lot of power keeping water from freezing in the barn and out.

 The twins are big and hardy, so they have been out every day now.

 My favorite part of the farm.

 Jock enjoyed a walk with Dave in his favorite type of condition. Cold.

 Kids Brooke and Lillian on a school day off with kids Angus and Anakin

 Finally a warmer day to get the triplets out with the twins, and they loved it.

 The snow is completely gone and the mud is back big time. Will it ever dry up?

 This is job training. Now eat the tree.

 And as always, all the animals do their best to get along, share toys, and even food.

The biggest and the smallest manage to live peacefully together.

Wish they rest of the world could learn from them, don't you?

An egg in my garden, because a hen got herself locked in the garden since Saturday night!!As we were away much of Sunday for Father's Day, and Monday because of work and errands, no one got up to the garden. The rain had taken care of drenching the plants, and apparently a well hidden hen, in my well grown grass, along one fence. Last night, I looked out the window to the garden as I was running to another meeting, and saw something brown where there should be only green tomato plants. Low and behold, Hen Six was testing life on the other side of the fence.

Could she have flown out? I think so.

Why didn't she? Who knows. Maybe we should put her back and do a study.

Its all here today at the farm.Around here its hard to get anything done without someone watching over your shoulder.

Which might be why this hen has been making her nest in the seclusion of the feed stall.

A little privacy if you want her egg please.We just have to remember to look for it before we throw down another hay bale.The warmer weather has brought out the fun and exploration in Mia.

Its easier to show off when its above freezing.

Especially when you're up this high.

But then a little R&R in the sun is nice too.

Even the goats were sunning when it got to 40F this afternoon. Good thing they could lie down and relax, since their latest Christmas tree snack was about gone.
