My Bridge Project

Once or twice I've mentioned this project and after almost ten years of involvement, the end is in sight.

Today the main part of the bridge was set in place over Mill Creek on old Ligonier Valley Railroad abutments.

Yes- a real rail to trail project.

Earth Day Delayed

Since Earth Day was also Good Friday and the Easter week-end, our area Clean Up was yesterday. I was able to bring a team together for my local cause, the Ligonier Valley Trail.

For three hours we picked up old glass bottles, cans, bricks, car parts, lumber, and goodness knows what, to clear what will be a future trail head for the trail.Starting the trail blazing at 9AM

Half the crew blazed a path from the road to the trail so that we have an inkling of the lots potential. Just after noon with a clear view of the farm behind us.
I want to thank everyone involved for being such a happy crew.
