Converting To Grass

Things still look brown, but the fields are greening up fast if you look closely. Soon I won't need to bring hay out at all. The older kids are off in the field tasting all the new growth and enjoying it.
Ariel still eating the hay stuffed Christmas trees.
The rest of the herd in the background has found today's new grass.
Zola hogging the hay for her boys. Lots of yelling and flinging of her head to keep it all for them. Layla just likes to aggravate her.

Such personality! Just love it. :)

And, sure, c'mon over. ;) But, we weren't home most of the day. We went out to get some software and ended up having car problems, then spending too much time waiting and getting towed to the dealer. We're not sure what the problem is yet, but we think it is computer related. Maybe we don't want to know. At least it happened now, not when we will be driving South in a couple of weeks.

Sooo cute!

Saw this in today's Wash. Post and thought of you as you're not that far away and might be in the area:

NATIVE AMERICAN FOOD: Chef Richard Hertzler of the National Museum of the American Indian will prepare a spring buffet at the Mitsitam Cafe. The menu will include goat braised in red wine, shrimp and sweet potato ceviche, sauteed seaweed and totopos. Reserve by April 20. $75.00. Fourth Street and Independence Avenue SW. Call Carolyn Margolis. 202-633-1140.

I'm taking a pass but apparently this is a popular event.
