Christmas tree recycling time. For my friends and neighbors that can, we'd love to get your trees -without any decorations, etc. for the goats to eat, and entertain to themselves with in the next cold month or two. Especially when we have snow cover, the trees give the goats a little browse to work on. Otherwise their entertainment is beating each other up in their boredome. As several of the girls are pregnant, we'd like to keep the slamming to a minimum.
Not a thing is wasted, and its entertaining to watch.

That is so funny and cool...I just have not seen anything like it. That last picture..whoa.
I wonder why I hadn't thought of this myself. I took our tree out to the girls this morning. They aren't flocking to it just yet since they also got their grain this morning. I expect by this afternoon they will get to the tree. I also told daughter to bring hers over when they take it down.
Desperate times bring creative ideas. The snow was keeping the goats from moving much last year, so all they did was fight to keep busy. We tried one tree and it worked so well, we put the word out and made it through the February mess too.
Great pics! I had to ask my hub to come see...the Christmas tree now looks like a fishbone!
And we looked at the videos on your previous post. Hadn't heard of CH before. Pekoe is an amazing survivor ... and a beautiful kitty, just like his Mommy (and family)!
Thanks for showing this series of pictures... we are studying goats, and want to get them in 18 more months, and this is valuable information for us. We loved the video of the goats coming in for the night!
Wow, they sure finished that tree off! Much better past time than head bams and slams. :-)
