Save Our Weeds

The cats have started a sit in, ...or really, in their case, a nap in.
Pekoe is resorting to violence and padding my foot as I work. Then attempting to roll and trip me.For once I was cleaning up some weeds and brambles around the pussy willow, when it became apparent that all the cats used the area to hide and nap. They have a cozy area with dried grass where they practically become invisible.
There are two cats here.By the cat nests, its obvious they have been enjoying peace and quiet there for a good long time. And now its been ruined. Help save our weeds.
Have the lady weed her gardens and not ours!

Beach Time

I have loved Lewes, Delaware ever since I went there with my high school for a week at the Marine Science Consortium. Over many years, I have visited with high school, college and family friends, and relatives. Now my daughter is capturing the photos with me.We always camped and beached at Cape Henlopen State Park. These days we stay along the canal,...
but the beach is still a favorite. We've enjoyed the canal in Lewes for the past three summers,... and love seeing the boats...from morning......till night.

Butterfly Weed and Butterflies

The Butterfly weed has somehow become our signature flower. Soon they will be going to seed and this flower is one of the last that I found. Do you see the three tiny butterflies? Their stripped antennae are only visible to me enlarged. Beautiful.

World Cup Memory

I am so lucky!
Today I got real mail.
And it was a present.
Its not even my birthday for months.
I was a giggling as I anticipated the content.Jeanne is my daughter's college friend, and roommate for a couple years also.
She was most lucky to go to South Africa to vacation during the time of the World Cup in July, and she got me a most desirable souvenir pin. If you watched the World Cup at all, you'll recognize the logo that they opened all the TV spots with.
I'll be wearing it at every opportunity.I am thrilled! I'm a'giggle.
How silly is that!!
Thanks Jeanne! I LOVE it!
