Happy New Year 2011

Whats new in 2011?We had our first bear print sightings yesterday by Dave. This morning I was cooking up a storm for the bowl game guests, so I sent my camera along on the dog walk this morning, and got back some evidence.
The above photo shows the print next to Dave's size 10's.
How about a bear hug for the New Year?

In Connecticut we had several regular bears visit the bird feeders and on garbage day. It was kind of neat seeing them in the back yard as they destroyed something each time!!, but our trails are far from the house and in the lonely, scary woods! I prefer my bears on the other side of a wall, or in the distance myself. My walks in the woods will be a bit more nervous now - and that will likely attract them won't it?!
