Derry Fair

Its hard to determine my favorite part of a fair. Food goes without saying, but after that, is it the quilts or the goats? This year again, the judge had a few nice breeding Boer goats to narrow down to a champion. The quality of the animals in the meat goat category improves every year in my eyes.

These twins were having a bit of a wrestling match with their goats.

Interesting that the day before, they had no trouble with their cows.

Mo was the champion rooster with personality - AND he knows his name.

I'd have to call this one my favorite quilt this year,... but this rag quilt does look like a cozy one too.

So what's my favorite between goats and quilts?

Who knows and I'm glad we don't have to choose.

The variety at fairs is what makes them fun.

Try and attend a fair this year and support the farms and kids who work hard to keep them special.

How fun! We haven't been to a fair in years, but I have it on the agenda. I, too, would have a hard time choosing a favorite.
