Lady Beetle - Ladybug Uprising

There are beetles marching back and forth everywhere. They are going in every direction, even upside down and sideways. They are on every surface. What do they want from us?An old neighbor in Canton, Connecticut always had ladybugs in a tower that was part of their house. I used to wish I had all these little creatures at my home. I guess the sun didn't hit the right side of the house, or we didn't even get enough sun through our oak woods.Well - no problem at the farm. We are in full sun. We are covered with lady bugs! Or may I say Lady Beetles.
Coccinellidae
is a family of beetles, known variously as ladybirds (UK, Ireland, Australia, South Africa), ladybugs (North America) or lady beetles (preferred by some scientists). Lesser-used names include ladyclock, lady cow, and lady fly.

Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LadybugIt seems that they are trying to take over the whole house, inside and out. The dog is even snapping at them.Wikipedia has some interesting bits of lore about the lady beetle. In central Europe, a ladybird crawling across a girl's hand is thought to mean she will get married within the year. Hmmm!
First it was fascinating, but now it is a bit annoying, even creepy. They are everywhere you walk. They get into the house at every opportunity. They feel itchy on your skin.I don't like them in my coffee cup either.

Kidzcraftz is a neat site to see a lady bug born and see other facts.
